Stakeholders in the food and beverage processing and input supply sector are invited to the OFIEC Food Industry Environmental Symposium on Tuesday April 6, 2010 in Mississauga Ontario.
The day-long symposium is hosted by the Ontario Food Industry Environmental Coalition (OFIEC), a new consortium of food and beverage industry associations as well as the food input supply sector. OFIEC members have a common goal to tackle environmental issues affecting the sector as a whole.

Members of the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Processors’ Association (OFVPA) and the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors (AOFP) are invited to attend a free seminar by representatives from OMAFRA to learn about new regulatory framework for the management of the land application of processing wastes and wastewaters under the Nutrient Management Act.
This is an opportunity for those applying food processing waste to the land to understand the requirements of this legislation, and how it differs
