Occupational Health & Safety Program The Ministry of Labour requires that employees must be trained for the job they are to perform. Training in some cases, must be reviewed annually while some require it to be repeated every three years. In all cases, training must be reviewed and updated when there are changes to the legal standards, industry practice or employees. The Alliance of Ontario Food Processors provides access to a program providing to assist the food processing sector with occupational health and safety compliance in a number of key areas. This program provides cost effective value-added training, audit, inspection and consulting services in the area of occupational health and safety for the food processing sector. Training can be customized for individual companies or it can be offered in a centralized location for a number of companies to attend the same session. Audits, inspection and consulting are offered on a company specific basis.
